[He doesn't look away this time, but as he looks back at Minato his face scrunches up and his eyes are wet by the time he shakes his head.]

[Minato really, really hopes he's not making things worse.]

[Relief settles in Ken's eyes and he nods, pushing himself further onto the bed and kicking off his shoes. He looks tired, but he's looked tired every day this last week.]

[He pauses, smiles sadly, and grabs a cloth to wet and put on Ken's forehead while he rests.]

[He lies down on his side, burying his face in the pillow.] You should look out for yourself.

[No don't do that let him try to cool your face jesus.]

Turn over. I'm not the one sick.

Wet towels are cold, Minato-san. [Observation of the century. But it's really cold. It makes him shiver. But he will turn his head.]

[He made sure it wasn't icy, at least. He rests his hand on Ken's forehead before the towel.]

I've had fevers like this plenty of times. [You know. Those nights Ken was Sick and couldn't go to Tartarus but you only found out through, like, Fuuka.]

Stop arguing. [jesus Ken just let him take care of you.]

[He just closes his eyes and leans into the hand.]

... Feels like Mom. [Minato is only the second person to feel him for a fever which might be why.]

[Minato almost jerks back at that because Ken's mom is a big deal. But he doesn't, just keeping his hand there for another second before putting the cloth on.]

Just rest.

[The cloth is cold. He frowns and looks like he wants to shake it off his head but he keeps still.]

[He's about to say "thank me by not dying" but instead, he sits on the other bed, just watching.]

[Ken's gonna rest! But that's because he's not gonna be able to get up again after this ): ]
